Italian luxury clothing company Loro Piana has agreed a deal to partner the Ryder Cup Europe team for the 2016 and 2018 editions of the biennial golf event.
The deal names Loro Piana an official supplier of Ryder Cup Europe. Under the agreement, the team will wear Loro Piana outfits while travelling to the event, during practice rounds, during matches, at gala dinners and during the opening and closing ceremonies.
This year’s Ryder Cup will take place at Hazeltine National Golf Club in Minnesota from September 27 to October 2, while the 2018 edition will be held at Le Golf National near Paris, France.
From mid-September, there will be a Ryder Cup capsule collection available exclusively in the Loro Piana stores in Milan, London Bond Street and Sloane Street, Paris Faubourg and Montaigne, Geneva, Cannes, New York, Beverly Hills, Honolulu, Bal Harbour, Hong Kong IFC, Singapore Marina Bay, Beijing SKP, Tokyo Ginza, Osaka and Seoul.
Europe has won the last three editions of the tournament and most recently defeated the US at Gleneagles in Scotland in 2014.
