Automotive rental company Enterprise Rent-A-Car has agreed to become an official partner of the Uefa Europa League European club football tournament.
The multi-year agreement will run for three seasons, beginning in 2015-16 and concluding with the 2017-18 Europa League final.
Enterprise will have access to some of the Europa League’s core brand assets, including its anthem and trophy. The company will benefit from visibility in association with the Europa League on and off the field.
Guy-Laurent Epstein, the marketing director of the Uefa Events division, said: “This partnership will serve to maintain the growth in popularity of the competition on a global basis. Following the 2015 final, we continue to see the competition going from strength to strength, so we are delighted to welcome Enterprise for what promises to be an exciting three seasons, and we look forward to working with them to fulfil their sponsorship objectives.”
Jim Stoeppler, vice-president of European brand marketing at Enterprise Rent-A-Car, added: “Sponsoring the Uefa Europa League is a big moment for Enterprise Rent-A-Car in Europe. We anticipate that this sponsorship will cement awareness of the Enterprise brand across Europe, and will help us to further engage with customers. In the US, we have seen our connection with customers grow through our support of sport, and we hope to see the same engagement through the Uefa Europa League.”
