Communications technology and services company Ericsson has entered into a partnership with French Ligue 1 football club Paris Saint-Germain.
Terms of the agreement were not disclosed, but it was confirmed that Ericsson will become an official partner of PSG and will supply the club with a number of its products and services.
The deal will include the provision of a sports performance information system, a digital experience backend system, and technology and consulting innovation services.
Frédéric Longuépée, deputy general manager for PSG, said: “One of our aims as a club is to become one of the top sports franchises in the world, and digital transformation is clearly a key priority. We are confident signing with Ericsson represents a major step forward.”
PSG is currently third in Ligue 1, three points behind leader Nice.
