VriendenLoterij has extended its stint as lead partner of the Eredivisie through a renewed three-year deal with Dutch football’s top division.
Officially, VriendenLoterij retains the designation of social partner that it has held since the association began nine years ago as gaming companies are restricted from having their name attached to the league.
VriendenLoterij, which supports charities in the areas of health and well-being, will continue to back and fund a host of youth and social initiatives through its relationship with the Eredivisie. These include healthy eating schemes and plans to support youth footballers in their wider education.
Michiel Verboven, managing director of VriendenLoterij, said: “The lottery wants to be a friend to all Dutch. For people who need a helping hand to be able to participate in society. And participants can win great prizes. With this partnership, we can further invigorate (our work).”
The financial terms of the Eredivisie’s latest agreement with VriendenLoterij were not disclosed.
