Mitsubishi Motors, the automotive manufacturing arm of Japan’s Mitsubishi Group, has entered into a partnership with England Netball.
Under the agreement, Mitsubishi Motors will become an official partner of netball’s national governing body in England. The length of the deal was not disclosed.
The deal will see the brand become the official vehicle supplier to England Netball, with its logo featuring on the Elite Squad’s uniforms and warm-up kits, as well as on the coaches' kits.
England Netball will also be provided with a fleet of Mitsubishi vehicles for its regional staff.
Joanna Adams, chief executive of England Netball, said: “They have a proven record in positively influencing sport at all levels in this country and Mitsubishi will allow England Netball to continue increasing the popularity and reach of our sport.”
England secured a pair of wins over New Zealand last summer, before winning the Fast5 Netball World Series in Melbourne. The team will also compete at the 2018 Commonwealth Games, which will be held in Australia's Gold Coast region from April 4-15.
