The Ekstraklasa, the top tier of club football in Poland, has extended its partnership with German sportswear and equipment company Adidas.
The new three-year deal covers the 2017-18 to 2019-20 seasons. Adidas will continue to serve as the league’s exclusive ball supplier.
Under the new agreement, Adidas will support the Extra Class Academies and young players at Ekstraklasa clubs. It will also sponsor the league’s top scorer award.
“We are very happy to see that our cooperation is appreciated by football clubs and the Ekstraklasa itself, which is proven by the willingness to continue our long-term cooperation,” Krzysztof Łuczakowski, senior manager of sports marketing at Adidas Poland, said. “We are convinced that further development of this partnership brings us all measurable benefits and supports our strategic operations.”
Adidas’ new Krasava ball will be introduced into the Ekstraklasa in February. The two parties first teamed up at the start of the 2014-15 season.
