US sportswear company Nike has agreed to renew its kit supplier partnership with German Bundesliga football club Eintracht Frankfurt.
According to multiple reports, the new long-term deal will run until the end of the 2023-24 season.
Eintracht initially partnered with Nike in 2014, with the two parties’ five-year deal having been due to expire at the end of the 2018-19 season.
Eintracht board member Axel Hellmann said, according to German magazine Kicker: “Even before the cup semi-final against Schalke, we agreed that it was clear, whether we reached the final, regardless of whether we win the trophy… Nike wanted to continue with us in any case.”
Eintracht finished the 2017-18 Bundesliga season in eighth place and won the DFB-Pokal cup competition with a 3-1 win over Bayern Munich in the final.
