Coffee and baked goods chain Dunkin’ Donuts has signed on as the first corporate sponsor of the National Women’s Hockey League, a new ice hockey competition in the United States.
Under the multi-year deal, Dunkin' Donuts will serve as the official iced, hot, and frozen coffee of the NWHL and will receive branding on team jerseys.
Meghan Duggan, assistant captain of the Buffalo Beauts franchise and two-time Olympic silver medallist, has also signed a personal services contract with Dunkin' Donuts.
NWHL commissioner Dani Rylan said: “We are thrilled such a leading national brand is not only our first corporate sponsor, but will play an important part in helping to promote our league, teams and players.”
The NWHL is currently engaged in its debut season having commenced play in October.
