Cruise line company AIDA Cruises has agreed an extension to its partnership with German Bundesliga football club Borussia Dortmund for a further two seasons until the end of the 2015-16 campaign.
AIDA has sponsored Dortmund since 2004 and the renewal continues the two parties’ collaboration on football cruises.
Sailing from Hamburg to London, Amsterdam and Paris, along with new routes from Mallorca and Dubai, the football cruises are four-to-seven day courses for children and their parents run in association with Borussia Dortmund’s football school, where the youngsters are trained by licensed coaches at international locations including London’s Wembley Stadium.
Additionally, former players are available for pictures and meet-and-greets on board, where there are tournaments on deck at the AIDA Sports Courts and public viewings of Borussia Dortmund games. Participants in the schools will be transported to arrival and departure on Dortmund’s team coach.
AIDA remains the naming sponsor of a corporate hospitality lounge inside Dortmund’s Signal Iduna Park and a number of the club’s grassroots and charity events.
