Multi-national law firm DLA Piper is to sponsor the South Africa men’s national hockey team for the duration of the 2014 Men’s Hockey World Cup.
The DLA Piper logo will appear on national players’ training and match shirts throughout the national team tournament.
DLA Piper will be active in the deal through its DLA Piper Germany, DLA Piper Netherlands and South African DLA Cliffe Dekker Hofmeyr companies.
South Africa will face both Germany and the Netherlands during the World Cup, while the tournament itself will take place in The Hague, Netherlands, from May 31 to June 15.
DLA Piper will join pay-television broadcaster SuperSport, which operates in sub-Saharan Africa, in support of South Africa’s World Cup campaign.
South Africa will begin its World Cup campaign against 2010 runner-up Germany on June 1.
