Pay-television broadcaster SuperSport, which operates in sub-Saharan Africa, is to sponsor the South Africa men’s national hockey team during the 2014 Men’s Hockey World Cup.
The SuperSport logo will appear on the front of the players’ shirts throughout the national team tournament.
SuperSport will also broadcast all 76 matches of the tournament under a previously-agreed rights deal. Coverage will be available in South Africa and across sub-Saharan Africa.
The 2014 Men’s Hockey World Cup will take place in The Hague, the Netherlands, from May 31 to June 15. South Africa will begin its campaign against 2010 runner-up Germany on June 1.
