Delta extends with Vikings, partners new stadium

NFL American football franchise the Minnesota Vikings has agreed a six-year extension to its partnership with Delta Air Lines.

The US company will remain the club’s official airline under an enhanced deal that will run through the 2021 NFL regular season.

Delta will also title sponsor the Sky360 Club at the Vikings’ new U.S. Bank Stadium, which is set to open next year. The new 21,000 square-foot facility will be located behind the team bench and will provide guests with an all-inclusive culinary experience and excellent views of the playing field.

The airline will be granted extensive advertising in the area around the Delta Sky360 Club, as well as inside the club itself. Delta will also retain its pitch-side signage at Vikings home games and will continue to have a presence on the club’s digital platforms. Various promotional activities and initiatives will be announced over the course of the deal.

Vikings owner and president Mark Wilf said: “For seven years, Delta has safely and efficiently flown our players, coaches and staff around the country. This extension not only ensures the same reliability continues for our team, but the renewed partnership also allows us to introduce Vikings fans to one of the most innovative club spaces in the NFL with the Delta Sky360 Club inside U.S. Bank Stadium.”
