German logistics firm DB Schenker has renewed its partnership with the International Paralympic Committee.
The new agreement will run until the end of 2020, covering that year’s summer Paralympics in Tokyo, Japan and the 2018 winter Games in Pyeongchang, South Korea.
DB Schenker will continue to provide logistics, courier services, freight forwarding and customs clearance services at the Games, as well as other IPC events.
The IPC will offer DB Schenker’s services to local organising committees, broadcasters and IPC members.
IPC chief executive Xavier Gonzalez said: “DB Schenker’s logistics services are invaluable to the IPC for our major events and day-to-to day activities.
“We hope under the scope of this agreement that we can help share their quality services to beyond the IPC so that it can benefit the IPC membership, event organisers and our broadcast partners.”
DB Schenker first partnered with the IPC ahead of the 2004 summer Paralympics in Athens, Greece.
