Financial services company Credit Suisse has been unveiled as a global sponsor of the Laver Cup tennis tournament.
Credit Suisse has signed a five-year deal to support the tournament. The agreement has been signed ahead of next year’s Laver Cup in Geneva, Switzerland – Credit Suisse’s home market.
Credit Suisse joins a high-profile line-up of Laver Cup sponsors, which includes founding partner Rolex and global sponsor Mercedes-Benz.
Tony Godsick, Laver Cup chairman and chief executive of Team8, the agency that helped form the tournament, said: “The event has been embraced by fans worldwide since it began two years ago. It’s the perfect time for Credit Suisse to join us as we bring the Laver Cup to the heart of Europe. We are proud to collaborate with Credit Suisse, a leading wealth manager recognised for its outstanding connections to entrepreneurs, businesses and communities.”
The Laver Cup is an event contested by representative teams from Europe and the rest of the world. The tournament debuted last year in the Czech capital of Prague, with the 2018 edition taking place in the US city of Chicago in September.
