Global Bank of Commerce, and its affiliate Global Processing Centres, has agreed to become a founding sponsor of Caribbean Premier League franchise Antigua Hawksbills, ahead of the inaugural Twenty20 cricket competition, according to the Trinidad Express newspaper.
The agreement will become the bank’s most significant sponsorship deal after having funded local sport events and athletes for a number of years.
The annual CPL will replace the Caribbean Twenty20 as the region’s premier Twenty20 competition.
Antigua Hawksbills’ first CPL game will be against Barbados Tridents at Bridgetown’s Kensington Oval on August 1.
