NFL American football franchise the Dallas Cowboys has announced a long-term extension to its sponsorship deal with Ford Motor Company and the Texas Ford Dealers.
As part of the deal, the Cowboys’ new multi-purpose headquarters will be known as the Ford Center at the Star. The facility is due to open in the summer of 2016.
As well as accommodating the Cowboys, the facility, which is located in Frisco, Texas, will stage local football games and entertainment events.
The Cowboys’ chief operating officer Stephen Jones said: “This partnership with Ford Motor Company and the North Texas Ford Dealers will take this facility to the next level. The Cowboys are thrilled to continue this next chapter with our friends at Ford.”
Maher Maso, Mayor of the city of Frisco, added: “The Ford Center at The Star will create jobs, boost tourism, plus enhance entertainment and economic development benefiting our residents.”
