Three banking and financial groups head the list of national sponsors to have committed to Costa Rica’s staging of the 2014 Fifa U-17 Women’s World Cup football tournament.
Banco de Costa Rica, Banco Nacional and Banco Popular are joined by the Costa Rican Tourist Board, insurance firm INS and telecommunications company Kolbi.
Fifa marketing director Thierry Weil said: “The fact that so many Costa Rican brands are committing to the event is great news for us and highlights the appeal of the event within the host nation."
The U-17 Women’s World Cup takes place between March 15 and April 5.
