Jarritos seals place at Concacaf Gold Cup

North American soft drinks brand Jarritos has secured a sponsorship deal for the Confederation of North, Central American and Caribbean Association Football (Concacaf) Gold Cup national team tournament.

Jarritos, which is owned by Texas-based food conglomerate Novamex, will serve as the official soda of the Gold Cup.

It joins Allstate, Delta Air Lines, Sprint, Telcel and Concacaf partner Scotiabank as a sponsor of the tournament, which runs from July 7-26.

Jarritos has an established track record of backing local and youth football initiatives, but it is the first time that it has sponsored a Concacaf event.

Financial terms for the agreement were not disclosed.
