Correios extends backing of Brazilian sport with CBRu partnership

Correios, the state-owned company which operates Brazil’s national postal service, has entered into a partnership with the Brazilian Rugby Confederation (CBRu).

The two-year deal runs until the end of 2018 and names Correios as a main sponsor of the body.

Under the agreement, Correios’ Sedex brand will benefit from exposure on the back of the jerseys of Brazil’s men’s and women’s teams.

“We are very proud and happy to be able to count on the support of a company like Correios, recognised in the market for its constant long-term work for the growth of Brazilian sport,” Agustin Danza, chief executive of the CBRu, said.

“With this support, we will have even greater chances of achieving our strategic goals and positioning Brazilian rugby as a sport of relevance in Brazil and in the world.”

Correios also holds partnerships with Brazil’s national aquatic sports, handball and tennis federations.
