German banking and financial services company Commerzbank has agreed to extend its naming rights deal for the home of Bundesliga football club Eintracht Frankfurt to 2020, according to Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung.
The newspaper said the existing contract was due to expire in 2016, but the company has elected to extend its rights to the Commerzbank-Arena.
Formerly known as the Waldstadion, Frankfurt-headquartered Commerzbank took up its naming rights in May 2005 after the 51,500-capacity stadium was redeveloped for Germany’s hosting of the 2005 Fifa Confederations Cup and 2006 World Cup.
