Online pharmacy company Chemist Warehouse has entered into a partnership with newly-formed Australian Super Netball League team the Collingwood Magpies.
Chemist Warehouse has agreed a five-year deal to serve as a co-major partner of the team. The agreement will cover the Super Netball League’s inaugural 2017 season and will run until the end of the 2021 campaign.
Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed, although the Herald Sun newspaper reported that a “multi-million dollar” deal was agreed between the two parties.
The team has been formed by AFL Aussie rules football club Collingwood and is one of three new franchises set to compete in the Super Netball League, which has been formed following the disbandment of the ANZ Championship.
The ANZ Championship featured teams from New Zealand and Australia, while the Super Netball League will be solely made up of sides from the latter country.
Chemist Warehouse is a long-term partner of the Netball Australia governing body.
