Automotive manufacturer Citroen has agreed an expanded sponsorship deal with French Ligue 1 football champion Paris Saint-Germain that will run until June 2017.
A partner of PSG since July 2011, under the new terms Citroen extends its involvement with the club to include the women’s football team and its associated men’s handball team.
Citroen will benefit from visibility during PGS home matches at the Parc des Princes through pitch-side advertising hoardings, along with the Citroen Golden Barre game at half-time that will promote the company’s vehicles.
Additionally, Citroen will run a series of special events to engage with supporters, such as the DS3 Cabrio Challenge that launched last September and featured the participation of six PSG players.
PSG maintained its five-point lead over Monaco at the Ligue 1 summit with a 5-0 thrashing of Nantes yesterday.
