Chinese Super League football club Tianjin Teda has signed China Elion Resources Group as its new main sponsor.
The deal officially renames the club as Tianjin Elion FC and will initially cover the 2017 season, which got underway at the weekend.
Following the announcement of the partnership, Elion chairman Wang Wenbiao outlined his ambitions for the club. “A football team always has its dream and my dream is for Tianjin Elion FC being able to win the CSL within three years,” he said.
Tianjin’s 2017 season began with a 2-0 defeat at Shandong Luneng on Saturday.
