Chelsea links up with Sony Music

The Sony Music division of electronics giant Sony has entered into a partnership with English Premier League football club Chelsea.

Terms of the agreement were not disclosed, but Chelsea has described the deal as an “exclusive” partnership.

To mark the new deal, Sony Music has used input from Chelsea players to curate a special playlist that fans can now download.

Chris Townsend, commercial director at Chelsea, said: “Combining some of the world’s most celebrated music artists and football stars will create innovative content and experiences for our global fanbase, starting with an exciting competition for fans of football and music all over the world.”

Chelsea has signed the deal having recently stated that the club was seeking premium partners in a limited range of categories.
