Champions Tour announces multiple sponsor extensions

PGA Tour over-50s golf series the Champions Tour has renewed deals with the title sponsors of seven existing events.

US insurance firm ACE Group will continue its title sponsorship of the ACE Group Classic at Florida’s TwinEagles Club through 2017.

German financial services company Allianz has also agreed to extend its title sponsor agreement for the Allianz Championship at the Old Course, Broken Sound Club in Florida through 2017.

Energy firm Constellation will retain its position as title sponsor of the Constellation Senior Players Championship through 2017. The Fox Chapel Golf Club in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania will host the event in 2014 for a third successive year.

Aviation firm Boeing will also continue in its title sponsor role for the Boeing Classic at Washington’s TPC Snoqualmie Ridge through 2016.

Japanese company Mitsubishi Electric will retain its title sponsorship position for the Mitsubishi Electric Championship at Hawaii’s Hualalai Golf Course through 2016. The company will also remain the official provider of Diamond Vision scoreboards for the PGA Tour and Champions Tour.

Snack bar company Nature Valley will continue its title sponsorship of the Nature Valley First Tee Open at Pebble Beach Golf Links in California and also retain its role as an official marketing partner through 2016.

US telecommunications firm C Spire has also agreed to extend its title sponsorship of the Mississippi Gulf Resort Classic at Fallen Oak, Mississippi through 2016.

“The renewals we’re announcing today demonstrate that the Champions Tour continues to deliver the kind of value our sponsors expect,” Champions Tour president, Mike Stevens, said.
