US beer brand Budweiser has renewed its partnership with NBA basketball franchise the Cleveland Cavaliers.
Budweiser has agreed a multi-year deal to continue as the official beer of the Cavaliers. Financial terms of the agreement were not disclosed.
As part of the deal, Budweiser will be granted naming rights to a new penthouse suite at Quicken Loans Arena, the Cavaliers’ home venue. The two parties will organise various events and initiatives to promote the partnership.
The first ‘Budweiser takeover night’ took place on January 21 during the Cavaliers’ NBA game with the Los Angeles Clippers. The events are designed to enhance the fan experience through a range of activations and giveaways.
In addition, Budweiser has been named the ‘official presenter of half-time’ during Cavaliers games and will also extend its backing to the club’s DJ, Steph Floss.
