North American recreational vehicle, services and accessories company Camping World has acquired the naming rights to the Orlando Citrus Bowl, a multi-use stadium that is currently the home of Major League Soccer franchise Orlando City.
Under the multi-year deal, the terms of which were not disclosed, the venue will now be known as the Camping World Stadium.
To mark the partnership, the stadium will play host to a number of American football games under the ‘Camping World Kickoff’ series title.
In addition to Orlando City, the venue is home to Orlando Pride of the National Women’s Soccer League and the National Collegiate Athletic Association’s Cure Bowl college American football event.
The 65,000-capacity stadium has also been selected to host the 2017 edition of Wrestlemania, the showpiece event of the WWE wrestling organisation. The stadium will be the first venue to have staged the event on two occasions.
Marcus Lemonis, chairman and chief executive of Camping World, said: “Florida is a key market for us as we have 14 Camping World SuperCenters in this state, more than any other. With 60 million-plus visitors to the Orlando area each year, we look forward to strengthening our brand and supporting the growing RV and camping community that has allowed us to be successful in this market.”
