Camping accessories retailer Camping World has secured the title sponsorship rights for the Independence Bowl US college American football showpiece game.
The length of the multi-year deal, which will begin with the 2015 edition of the game on December 26, was not disclosed.
The agreement was brokered by the Denver-based Impression Sports & Entertainment agency.
“We are excited to begin our partnership of the Independence Bowl and this is a great event to kick off our yearlong celebration honouring the 50th anniversary of our businesses,” Camping World chief executive and chairman Marcus Lemonis said. “Our customers enjoy the thrill of competitive sports along with the bonding that comes from tailgating. As a company, we have a great appreciation for the tradition of college football and look forward to the fan experience.”
Camping World also sponsors the Nascar stock car-racing series’ Truck Series.
