Government-owned bank Caixa Econômica Federal has furthered its backing of Brazilian football by agreeing to become the new main sponsor of Campeonato Brasileiro Serie A team Sport Club do Recife.
Caixa has signed a four-year deal with Sport, with the agreement worth R$6m (€2m/$2.7m) per year, according to Brazilian media reports.
Caixa will hold the main shirt sponsorship rights to the club, with the Sport deal representing its 14th partnership with a domestic football team.
Sport won promotion from Serie B last season and currently sits third in the Serie A table, two points behind leader Cruzeiro.
