The CAA Sports agency has been appointed by AS Roma to help the Italian Serie A football club market sponsorship rights to its new stadium.
The agency has been engaged to sell global naming rights and foundation-level partnerships for the new 52,000-seat Stadio della Roma.
Roma is due to move from its current home at the Stadio Olimpico to the new property in time for the 2016-17 season.
In addition to the main stadium, the complex includes a 14,500-seat in-stadium amphitheatre, a 4,500-seat outdoor amphitheatre, a 900-seat indoor concert venue, a football training centre, a Nike superstore, the AS Roma Hall of Fame and Museum, retail and dining facilities, and an office park.
The club said the new property will play host to over 200 events per year including Roma matches, concerts, European football, rugby and other global sporting events, as well as film, music and food festivals.
CAA Sports now joins Goldman Sachs, Starwood Capital Group, Legends Hospitality and Nike as partners for the stadium development project.
AS Roma chief commercial officer Sean Barror said: “CAA Sports will be essential in our ability to attract the right business partners to align with the greatest destination for sports and entertainment in Europe. Their experience, expertise, reputation and global network are unparalleled. Coming to market is a major milestone, one that will benefit greatly from our partnership with CAA Sports.”
