NBA basketball team the Milwaukee Bucks has agreed a partnership with local electronic power tools provider Milwaukee Tool to assist with the construction of its new arena.
Although terms of the deal were not disclosed, it was confirmed that the arena work site will be renamed as the Milwaukee Tool Construction Site.
Milwaukee Tool will make its complete catalogue of power tools, hand tools and accessories available to arena project manager Mortenson Construction and all arena subcontractors working on site.
The new 17,000-seat arena and plaza is part of a wider plan to develop a sports entertainment district in downtown Milwaukee, in a project that could be worth as much as $1bn (€895m).
The team, in conjunction with its construction partners, is due to break ground on Saturday. It is hoped that the arena will be ready in time for the 2017-18 NBA season.
