UK telecommunications company BT has secured its first commercial partnership in the English Premier League club football competition by entering into a deal with Queens Park Rangers.
Although the terms of the multi-year agreement were not disclosed, it has been confirmed that BT will provide QPR with various communications services.
This will include the supply of a high performance network that will give the club secure communication and connectivity with 24-hour support. The service will cover the club’s Loftus Road home stadium as well as its Harlington training ground and Concorde Club youth facilities.
BT will also provide QPR with its BT One Phone Technology, which will enable the club to bring its office phone system and mobile phones into a single service.
Meanwhile, QPR will also work with the company’s BT Sport pay-television brand to produce various media content. In addition, from the 2015-16 season, BT Sport branding will feature on the headrests of both sets of dugout seats at Loftus Road, as well as on LED signage and the stadium’s big screen.
