AFL Aussie rules club Brisbane Lions has extended its partnership with online bookmaker Neds for a further two years.
Neds will retain its position as a co-major sponsor of the club until the end of the 2021 season.
As part of the agreement, the company’s logo will appear on the back of the Lions’ home jersey and on the front of the team’s away and clash jumpers.
Neds initially partnered with the Lions in March in a deal covering the 2019 season. The partnership marked the first time a betting company has had branding on an AFL jersey since 2013.
Brisbane-based Neds stepped in as a sponsor of the Lions after the team terminated a deal announced last year with tech start-up SOOW, which reportedly failed to make payments under the terms of the contract.
