The AccorHotels chain has entered into a partnership with the Brazilian Rugby Confederation (CBRu) national governing body for rugby union.
The deal will run for two years, with the option to extend until the 2020 summer Olympic Games in Tokyo, Japan.
Rugby union featured at the Olympics last year for the first time since 1924. The 2016 summer Games in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, included men’s and women’s tournaments based on the sevens format of the sport.
A sevens competition will also take place at the Tokyo 2020 Games.
AccorHotels becomes the 16th partner of the CBRu, joining the likes of Heineken, Dove Men Care, Correios, Topper and Rumo.
