Bradford Bulls team up with Bartercard

English rugby league team Bradford Bulls has confirmed UK business-to-business trade exchange Bartercard as an official partner from the 2014 Super League season.

Under the terms of the three-year deal, Bartercard’s branding will feature on the Bulls’ home and away jerseys and the Rooley Lane Terrace at its Odsal Stadium will be re-named as the Bartercard Terrace.

“This is the biggest deal of its kind in Super League and it further secures the future of the club for the next few years,” said Bradford Bulls chairman Omar Khan.

Khan bought the club in August 2012 after months of financial turmoil when it fell into administration and was issued with a winding-up petition.

He added: “When we took over the club, almost a year ago, we said we would be looking for significant investors and partners. I also promised that this would be a community club.”

Bartercard’s product is an alternative source of business finance aimed primarily at small and medium sized enterprises. Bartercard transactions earn the seller credit to spend with any other trade exchange member, while the buyer owes goods or services of the same value to the exchange.
