The British Paralympic Association has signed up international law firm Hogan Lovells as its official legal services provider through to the end of 2016.
The firm joins other BPA official partners including BP, BT, Deloitte, EDF Energy, Mondelēz International, Nissan, Sainsbury’s and the lottery funding distributor UK Sport.
The agreement formalises a long-standing relationship between the two organisations that has existed since before the 2008 Beijing Paralympic Games.
Throughout this period, including during the 2012 London Paralympic Games, Hogan Lovells has given pro-bono legal advice, secondments and volunteering to the BPA in a number of areas though London-based commercial partner Richard Welfare.
As the BPA’s official legal services provider, Hogan Lovells will continue to supply legal support to the organisation across all areas as the BPA prepares to send teams to compete at the Sochi 2014 Paralympic Winter Games and subsequently the Rio 2016 Paralympic Games.
