Campeonato Brasileiro Serie A football team Botafogo has extended its shirt sponsorship deals with Cercred, Neto’s and Pega Carga.
Financial services company Cercred, which first partnered with Botafogo in June 2016, will continue to have its branding appear on the lower-front area of the team’s shirts.
The logo of Neto’s, a brand established by Brazilian YouTube celebrity Felipe Neto, will appear on the shoulder area of the shirts. Pega Carga, a mobile application that connects truck drivers, will have its branding appear on the back of the shirts, below the squad number.
All three agreements will cover the 2018 season.
Bernardo Lage, founding partner of Pega Carga, said: “We believe that the publicity provided by the exposure of our brand on Botafogo shirts is increasingly valued by truckers and carriers. And we are sure that this action contributes, in a decisive way, to garner even more users for Pega Carga. It is vital to note that football is a national passion and Botafogo is a club recognised for its victories. We could not choose a better channel to take our brand to potential clients from all over Brazil.”
Botafogo added that it is in advanced negotiations to extend it deal with main shirt sponsor, government-owned bank Caixa Economica Federal.
