French Ligue 1 football clubs Girondins de Bordeaux and Metz have agreed shirt sponsorship deals with sports retail group Intersport and building and energy services provider Spie, respectively.
The length of Bordeaux’s partnership with Intersport was not disclosed but it is set to at least run until the end of the 2017-18 season. Intersport’s branding will feature on the front pocket area of the club’s shirts.
Bordeaux becomes the 10th Ligue 1 club to partner with Intersport. The company will also launch a Bordeaux-focused promotion on social media platform Facebook entitled ‘What the Foot’ as part of the agreement.
Meanwhile, Spie, a partner of Metz since 2014, has upgraded its association with the club to have its logo appear on the pocket area of the club’s shirts, above that of kit provider Nike. The agreement will run until the end of the 2019-20 season.
Spie joins Groupe Car Avenue, le Conseil Départemental de la Moselle, BigBen Interactive, Interconseil and Leclerc de Moselle as Metz kit sponsors.
In other news, Bordeaux has partnered with stain remover specialist Dr. Beckmann. The deal, the length of which was not disclosed, names the company as an official supplier of the club. Dr. Beckmann will benefit from advertising space at Bordeaux’s stadium, the Matmut Atlantique (pictured), and training ground.
