French Ligue 1 football club Girondins de Bordeaux has entered into a partnership with electrical goods manufacturer and retail store chain Boulanger.
The French company has been named the club’s official equipment supplier in a two-year deal that will cover the remainder of the 2015-16 season and the 2016-17 campaign.
Boulanger already receives advertising inside Bordeaux’s recently-opened Matmut Atlantique stadium. As an official sponsor, it will now team up with the club on various in-store and in-stadium promotional activities over the course of the season.
Bordeaux president Jean-Louis Triaud said: “This partnership goes to show that Bordeaux remains one of football’s biggest clubs, and with our new stadium we’re a more attractive partner than ever for brands looking to support our sport.”
Boulanger will also partner with the Lagardère Sports agency as part of the deal.
