Italian Serie A football club Bologna has extended its shirt sponsorship deal with natural gas and electricity supplier Illumia.
The new one-year deal will cover the 2017-18 season.
Illumia’s branding will continue to appear on the back of Bologna’s shirts as part of the agreement.
Bologna’s new deal with Illumia follows extensions with automated door and barrier manufacturer FAAC, the club’s front-of-shirt sponsor, and kit supplier Macron.
FAAC will continue sponsoring the team for the 2017-18 season, while Italian brand Macron will continue to supply kit until the end of the 2019-20 campaign.
Christoph Winterling, director of marketing and commercial for Bologna, said: “We strongly wanted the confirmation of Illumia, as well as FAAC, as sponsors of our team. We continue to point to the territory and to grow together with important companies such as Illumia with which we share values and goals. We are very happy to present… three partners of Bologna on the jersey, a rarity in the football world.”
Bologna first partnered with Illumia at the start of the 2015-16 season.
