Automotive manufacturer BMW, the official mobility partner of the United States Olympic Committee, is to add the USA Golf Federation as a national governing body partner ahead of the 2016 Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.
As part of the deal, BMW will supply the USA Golf Federation with mobility and transportation services before and during the Games.
Andy Levinson, executive director at the USA Golf Federation, said: “It is sponsor support like this that will allow us to achieve our mission of not only competitive success in Rio, but also contributing to the development of future American golfers.”
BMW is already a partner of the USA Swimming, USA Track and Field, and USA Bobsled and Skeleton national governing bodies.
Next year’s Games will mark the return of golf to the Olympics after a 112-year absence.
