BetVictor is to become the new title sponsor of the World Matchplay tournament after agreeing a three-year deal with the Professional Darts Corporation (PDC).
The tournament, which this year will celebrate its 20th anniversary, will be known as the BetVictor World Matchplay under the terms of the sponsorship.
The deal was brokered by independent sponsorship agency CMSeven.
The 2013 event will take place at the Winter Gardens in Blackpool, England from July 20-27, where reigning champion Phil Taylor will aim to retain his title for the sixth consecutive year.
