Online betting company Betfair has agreed a sponsorship deal with Spanish Liga football club Barcelona.
The three-year deal will cover the 2016-17 to 2018-19 seasons and names Betfair as an official global partner of Barcelona.
Under the agreement, Betfair will be granted LED advertising exposure at Barcelona’s Camp Nou stadium. It will also receive image association rights and digital benefits.
In addition, Betfair will have access to Barcelona players to develop marketing campaigns and promotional material.
“Barcelona are consistently competitive at the top level and will help us achieve our ambition of growing the Betfair brand internationally,” Betfair director general Paul Gambrill said.
Betfair will serve as a third-tier official partner of Barcelona alongside Oppo, Gatorade, Stanley Black & Decker, Replay, Lassa Tyres, Allianz, Maurice Lacroix and Toshiba.
Betfair also holds partnerships with English Premier League sides Leicester City, Arsenal, Southampton and Sunderland.
