Northern Irish Elite Ice Hockey League club the Belfast Giants has renewed its partnership with ferry company Stena Line, its title sponsor.
The club will continue to be known as the Stena Line Belfast Giants for the 2017-18 season as part of the new one-year deal. It will mark Stena Line’s seventh successive year as the team’s title sponsor.
Stena Line first partnered with the Giants in 2008 and has since provided players, fans and visiting teams with transport for games throughout the UK.
Orla Noonan, travel commercial manager (Irish Sea North) at Stena Line, said: “No one could have anticipated what a huge following the Belfast Giants would develop here in Northern Ireland and every year the fan base just keeps getting bigger and bigger. Supporters should keep an eye out for news on fun promotions happening over the coming months that will allow them to get up close and personal with their favourite players.”
The Giants finished the 2016-17 regular season in second place, behind the Cardiff Devils.
