The Board of Control for Cricket in India has said e-commerce firm Paytm will serve as the title sponsor of this weekend’s Twenty20 cricket matches between India and the West Indies, which will be held in the United States.
The two matches will take place at Central Broward Regional Park in the US city of Fort Lauderdale tomorrow (Saturday) and Sunday.
Details of the mini-series were confirmed earlier this month and BCCI president Anurag Thakur has said the board will seek to stage matches in the US on an annual basis.
Paytm is an existing partner of the BCCI and currently holds title sponsorship rights to India’s home series until September 2019.
Thakur said: “This will further strengthen the partnership with our existing partner and is a testimony to the fact that our partners believe in BCCI’s initiative of reaching out to newer audiences and markets.”
