Cloud-connected security and storage solutions provider Barracuda has entered into a partnership with golf’s European Tour.
The one-year deal will run for the duration of the 2015 season.
Under the agreement, Barracuda will serve as the official supplier of data storage and security to the European Tour and the Scottish Open tournament, which takes place at the Gullane Golf Club in East Lothian from July 9-12.
Barracuda will provide its various technology to allow European Tour organisers to protect back office operations as well as ensure secure and accurate management and flow of data.
In addition, Barracuda will benefit from various media exposure opportunities during the course of the partnership.
Mark Lichtenhein, head of television, digital Mmedia and technology at the European Tour, said: “The Aberdeen Asset Management Scottish Open, which a number of high-profile American players will attend, will be particularly useful for Barracuda and it will be the focal point of its activities in golf in Europe.”
Manjinder Devgon, EMEA marketing director for Barracuda, added: “Barracuda Networks has been a long-standing supporter of high-profile sporting fixtures, most recently with various football leagues in Europe. Our new partnership with the European Tour will enable us to enjoy the same high levels of media exposure during the summer months as we currently do during the winter football season.”
