The Austrian Bundesliga has turned down an offer from an unnamed bookmaker to become the title sponsor of the top two divisions of football in the country.
Bundesliga chief executive Hans Rinner said that the offer did not meet the “financial expectations” of the clubs.
Rinner added that the bookmaker has “an excellent reputation,” leaving the door ajar for possible further talks.
Rinner was re-elected to serve another four-year term at the helm of the Bundesliga on Friday.
