US sportswear provider Under Armour has signed a long-term extension to its partnership with Auburn University's Tigers intercollegiate sports teams.
The deal will run for nine years, from 2016 through to 2025.
Under the agreement, which is worth a total of $78.1m (€70m), more than double the amount of the existing agreement, Under Armour will continue to provide the Tigers with playing apparel. The deal includes $22.5m in cash and $10m worth of Under Armour stock.
In addition, Tigers players will feature in various Under Armour advertising and marketing campaigns.
Under Armour began its support of the university's athletics programmes in 2006.
Jay Jacobs, director of athletics at Auburn, said: “The Auburn brand is so strong and Under Armour saw that. They are rewarding us for how strong our brand is, how we do business and the way our students represent us.”
