Online trading company Plus500 has renewed its shirt sponsorship deal with Spanish LaLiga football club Atlético Madrid.
The new three-year agreement will cover the 2018-19 to 2020-21 seasons and will grant Plus500 continued brand exposure on the front of Atlético’s shirts.
The Israeli company first became the club’s main sponsor in June 2015, having previously enjoyed back-of-shirt branding, and the two parties’ current deal was due to expire at the end of the 2017-18 season.
Under the new agreement, Plus500 will also receive continued exposure on Atlético’s training kit, as well as a range of sponsorship rights at the club’s new Wanda Metropolitano stadium, which opened in September.
Atlético chief executive Miguel Ángel Gil Marín said: “We believe that this partnership has proven itself to date and is supporting our growth and progress. We look forward to continuing our journey with them in our new home at the Wanda Metropolitano stadium.”
Asaf Elimelech, chief executive of Plus500, added: “Atlético Madrid consistently demonstrates its strength, professionalism and passion for success, which we feel reflects Plus500's qualities. We are excited to continue this partnership between Atlético Madrid and Plus500, which has strengthened our brand recognition worldwide.”
