NFL American football franchise the Atlanta Falcons has agreed sponsorship deals with transportation service Lyft and fast-food restaurant chain Zaxby’s.
Lyft will serve as the official rideshare partner of the Falcons, and will also take on the same role at Major League Soccer franchise Atlanta United. The lengths of the agreements were not disclosed.
The partnerships have been signed ahead of the opening later this month of Mercedes-Benz Stadium, which the two teams will share.
Lyft will provide travel arrangements for fans attending games, with pick-up and drop-off zones to be set up and special offers to be launched.
Zaxby’s, meanwhile, has been named as the official chicken of the Falcons and, according to the Atlanta Journal-Constitution newspaper, the deal will run for five years until 2022.
As part of the agreement, Zaxby’s will title sponsor the Falcons’ Salute to Service Week, which this year runs from October 30 to November 4.
The company will also be a presenting sponsor at the team’s summer training camp, the Atlanta Falcons/MADD 5K walk, and the Fishing with the Falcons fishing tournament.
Zaxby’s will benefit from further brand exposure through game-day activations, signage and promotion across the club’s media channels. However, at present Zaxby’s will not receive an outlet in Mercedes-Benz Stadium.
